The smell of roasted green chile can make your mouth water, and there are many great green chile chefs in our valley. Celebrating the bountiful harvest of the San Luis Valley, Adams State College is hosting a green chile cook-off on September 20 as part of the Fifth Annual Autumn@Adams.
Contestant fee is $10 and cash prizes will be awarded to the top three green chile cooks. To have a contestant form mailed to you contact Linda Relyea at 719-587-7827, email Linda Relyea, or click on the chili cook-off link below.
Chili will be judged by the general public, who will pay $1 to receive a ballot. Cups, spoons, napkins, and chips will be provided, as will electricity.
